Canadian District SYNOD: May 4-6, 2012
Calgarians – your help is needed!
The planning committee has been working for the past year to get ready for the upcoming
Synod – however as most of us know (those who have organized events)
the details are worked out as the time gets nearer.
Well, the time is now near and we need your assistance in the following areas:

1) Drivers: to take delegates back and forth from the hotel (Best Western Port
O’ Call, 1935 McKnight Blvd) to Good Shepherd Church
2) Hosting/billeting a Synod delegate: if you have an extra bedroom where
delegate(s) can stay during the Synod period, please contact Pat Wollf as
some delegates prefer this arrangement over staying in a hotel
3) Registration/Welcoming guests: on Friday, May 4th, help on the Registration
Desk  to give out name tags, Synod package, etc., as people arrive from out
     of town
4) Office staff: during the Synod we need people who can type committee
notes, photocopy information, distribute new information to delegates, and be
    “runners”
5) Kitchen help: we will need people to make coffee/tea, help with food
distribution, etc., so please contact Al Miller if you can assist in this area.

Please consider helping out in one of these areas – contact
Lynne Hennig at 403-208-9767 or Ann Tyrell at 403-274-4496
if you have further questions.
Note the deadline for registrations is March 1st, 2012
(the forms can be sent in electronically
(email to Synod@moravian.ca) or by mail to
Ann Tyrell, 116 Hidden Valley Landing NW, Cgy, AB, T3A 5G2)
